Ghia Featured, New Products Arrive

Just a quick update today: If you haven't seen it yet, check out the great feature article on ghia that was just printed in today's copy of All The Rage.

We're also glad to announce that we're restocking for spring. Our latest order from fair trade organization World Finds just came in, including new sterling silver jewelry. We also have replenished stock on the ever-popular wood-handled floral purse and the beaded cuff bracelet that was featured in the print version of the Rage article.

Watch the site (and this blog) for the full list of new products to be posted shortly.

Cool Stuff Round Up!

  • Fair trade everyone can use. Traidcraft starts selling fair trade toilet paper. Text on the packaging: "I'm flushing away unfair trade." Actually, from I can tell, I don't know that the toilet paper itself is fair trade certified. However, it's made from 100% recycled paper, and proceeds from sales go into a fund to help Traidcraft support their producer communities.

  • Change someone's life with microloans. Kiva.org allows its users to send microloans to entrepreneurs in developing countries. Kiva acts as the facilitator, working with existing microloan institutions to screen borrowers and connect them with lenders.

  • Helping families go green. According to TreeHugger, food banks in Ontario, Canada, are currently giving out GreenBoxes that help families make their homes more energy efficient.

  • Beauty tips for the holidays. Check out the holiday beauty tips I just posted on my personal blog for ways to look fabulous this month!
